About RidgeCore Service

A Manchester reporting desk established in 2016 for e-commerce conversion charts and written briefings.

Official name & history

RidgeCore Service Ltd is the registered business name. The company was established in 2016 in Manchester after two former catalogue analysts left a regional retailer to offer conversion reporting to smaller online shops that lacked an in-house analytics desk.

Early work centred on apparel and outdoor goods brands shipping from northern England warehouses. By 2019 the desk had standardised intake templates for Shopify and Magento order exports. Through the 2020–2022 shift to heavier online trade, RidgeCore Service expanded into multi-channel packs that include marketplace order files alongside own-site funnels. Today the practice remains intentionally small: analysts who have sold or bought stock for real catalogues, preparing human-written reporting packs for each client.

How we work

Clients send trading exports and promotion calendars. We clean fields, build conversion visuals, and write notes in the language buyers use — SKUs, sizes, returns, and margin pressure — rather than abstract scorecards. Drafts go out for comment before the final pack.

Values that show up in the pack

  • Catalogue honesty — we mark thin sample sizes instead of inventing confidence.
  • Readable charts — colour and labels chosen so a printed A3 still works in a buying meeting.
  • Bounded scope — every brief states what we will and will not cover before fees are agreed.

People

Analysts rotate between intake, charting, and briefing calls so every pack has two pairs of eyes. Client relationships are held by a named contact at the Sample Avenue desk.

Community

We mentor two junior analysts each year through placements arranged with local digital commerce courses, keeping the desk staffed with people who have handled real order files.
